The Code is Here!

City Council passed the new Residential Zoning Regulations in September!. The Residential District Zoning map accompanies it.

A revised version of the commercial code should soon be available later in August.

Alycen Whidden worked long and hard to turn our likes and hopes into code that will guide building in both the business and residential areas of Pine Lake.  The draft code was presented to City Council at the May Council meeting, and now it's up to them to decide whether to adopt as is, make changes, or keep our present rules.  Council will discuss it again at the work session on May 27, and there will be a public hearing before the Council Meeting on June 9.  Please come to one of these meetings, preferably the public hearing - these are you last chances to have input into the process.   And please read the code before you come - since the sections are 15 and (I think) 23 pages, it will be impossible to grasp it all at the meetings.

Elisabeth:Thanks for bringing this site to our attention, Susan - and for being the first discussion contributor on the board!
Anonymous:hi this is susan ahl....only had a moment to look at some of the links provided by this facilitator...so far i liked the 'european old world designs' by http://www.jackarnold.com/gallery.html most of them are gigantic, but if you scroll thru the photos page you can find photos of 'pieces' of the homes that you like, and our developers can get an idea of what we like and 'piece' them together, or make them smaller, etc. the photos that i liked on that site were 'custom cottage courtyard', 'stanford elm custom entry', 'sussex', and 'townhome c' and townhome f'. that's all i have for now. cheers, susan
